A reel that does well brings scam links, follow-for-follow bots and the occasional person having a bad day. Every one of those sits under your best work, in public, for as long as it takes you to notice it.
Comment Moderation reads every incoming comment, sorts it, and deletes the kinds you've chosen. The rest are left alone.

It's built for how people actually write on Instagram rather than for a dictionary, so enthusiasm isn't mistaken for aggression. "This goes so hard" and "stop it you're insane ๐ญ" are praise, and it knows that. It reads meaning rather than matching words, which also means it works on Hinglish and the other languages and transliterations your audience comments in.
You decide. Spam and Slurs / Abuse are ticked by default.
Negative and Criticism are deliberately left off. Deleting honest feedback almost always costs more than the comment did โ and a critic who notices you removed them tends to come back louder, with a screenshot.
Deletion is permanent
Deleting a comment on Instagram cannot be undone. Not by you, and not by the person who wrote it.
The comment text is kept in your moderation log so you can always see what was removed, but the comment itself is gone from Instagram for good.
If you're unsure, start with Spam only and watch the log for a few days before adding more.
Neutral can never be deleted
Neutral isn't offered as an option, because deleting it would mean deleting almost every comment you receive. It's also never stored โ see the log below.
AI Features โ Comment Moderation shows what's been happening: the comment text, what it was judged to be, what happened to it, who wrote it and when.

Action
Means
Deleted
The comment was removed from Instagram.
Logged only
It was sorted, but its kind isn't on your delete list.
Failed
Instagram wouldn't remove it โ usually because it was already gone.
Filter by Instagram account, by classification, or by date range to see just what you're looking for.
Neutral comments never appear here. They're the overwhelming majority of everything you receive, and listing them would bury the handful of rows actually worth reading.
The log keeps roughly a month of history and clears itself out after that, so it stays fast and readable without you pruning it. If you need a permanent record, export before it rolls off.
A comment I wanted to keep was deleted. Take that kind off your delete list so it doesn't happen again. The text is in the moderation log so you can see exactly what went โ but it cannot be restored on Instagram.
A comment I wanted gone is still there. Check its row in the log. If it's marked Logged only, its kind isn't on your delete list. If it was classified as Neutral it won't appear at all โ you can still delete it by hand on Instagram.
Deletion says Failed. Almost always because the comment was already deleted, by its author or by you, before InfluDM got to it.
Nothing is being moderated. Check the feature is switched on, that the Instagram account is in its list, and that you have credits left.

The five kinds โ
Every incoming comment is sorted into exactly one of these:

Using it as a safety net, not a filter โ
The most useful way to run this feature is with a narrow delete list and a habit of reading the log once a week.
That way you learn what the AI does on your audience before you give it permission to act irreversibly.
